Madison Elizabeth Martin was born on August 28th, 1990 in Cumberland, MD. At a young age Madison enjoyed participating in talent shows and sporting events. A driven individual, Madison has been able to accomplish many tasks and has never shied away from adversity.
Madison during her college career has hosted numerous one episode television shows for the student-produced television station, FSU TV-3. She was also a co-producer of FSU TV-3’s “Down to Earth with Dr.G.” During her time at Frostburg State University, she has been named the treasurer of two different on campus organizations: the Student Communication Studies Association and the Society of Collegiate Journalists. Madison is also a Sports Writer for the newspaper The Bottom Line. Madison spent the summer of 2011 interning for the Booking Department of FOX News Channel in Washington, D.C.
During her senior year at FSU, Madison was elected Vice President of the Society of Collegiate Journalists, inducted into Lambda Pi Eta National Honor Society, functioned as a News Intern at Allegany Radio Corporation under News Director Amanda Mangan, and acted as a Student Reporter for NASCAR at Richmond International Raceway. During the summer of 2012 Madison spent her time with FOX News Channel again, this time interning for Bret Baier and traveling with the Special Report team to the Democratic National Convention in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Madison also established a sports show for the campus television station, FSU-TV3, titled “The Bobcast,” and functioned as a producer and field reporter for the show. The experience enabled Madison to obtain significant real-world experiences and practice several different production roles.
Currently, Madison is functioning as a web producer and web reporter for the Cox Media Group station WSOC 9 and TV 64 in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Her overarching goal is to obtain a career as a journalist, specializing in sports or politics.
